An anime app to stream your favorite anime as it was originally intended. Anime is mainstream, and most of the apps on the market did not follow its steps as it blew up. The app introduces a feature to help users see their watching habits, stats, and recommend a subscription plan that works best to their anime watching behavior. Instead of a traditional upsell tactic, the app only suggests a more suitable plan option when the user’s behavior changes. It also doesn’t have anything extra bells and whistles, it is just a hub to stream and options to watch offline. User-centric is the core value and the reason why Genki Anime was created.

Sony PlayStation Store on Console came to us asking for a revamp, and we delivered.  The work started with intense research and data collecting, quickly moved to wires and design.  The store is rolled out in the spring 2017 across the globe.

Client: Cablevision 

Role: Sr. Art Director

Cablevision is looking to reinvent the way people use cable tv with this IP video solution and a brand new user interface.  Users are combining all the video provides such as Netflix, Hulu, and other internet channels into one account, and the app run on an Android stick.  This is a project with heavy UI and UX partnership, as well as extensive data research and testing.  A model remote was designed and 3D printed for testing.

A design company disguised as a coffee shop. Arabica may not be the biggest player in the coffee world, but its got a die-hard following. The project came in as the brand is looking for a new app to help customers in Mainland China to browse products, find locations, and order coffee at ease. Metropolitan cities in China are just as busy as one can imagine, and Shanghai has the second largest amount of coffee shops per capita just right after London. It is essential for users to be able to get their coffee fixes fast, but also enjoyable. The app also comes with a loyalty program that is personalized, and custom to its cult following.

Aloha! Hawaiian bank with true Hawaiian style. Central Pacific Bank was hungry for a new brand and a fully elevated digital experience, including website, marketing collaterals, banking app, and a dashing new atm :)

IMAX is looking to reimagine and create the ultimate movie experience at users fingertips. A concept basis on the future user trend where an immersive and intuitive journey along with striking visuals to provide a true home theatre experience. We are given the opportunity to think large, and visualize the future.

NewRez mortgage came to us asking for one thing: Mid Century Modern. We answered with a complete rebrand through all of their business channels. We see a trend in financial partners looking to bring their communications to something more organic and authentic. The goal is let consumers know that NewRez is here as your partner, every step of the way.

Client: KB Home

Role: Creative Director

KB Home is a key player in the builders industry, and the core value is “built on relationships”. We are tasked to rethink, and rebrand the KB Home site to carry out the true meaning of "built on relationships". We are responsible for not only the website space, but also a full B2B and B2C tool to help agents and design specialists at KB Home to help enhance the home building experience for potential home buyers. This is a massive task that took close to a full year to design and develop. The end-result is beautiful, friendly, and user-centric.

CNN is looking to revolutionize the interface of their touchscreen TV wall. This is an unique design challenge, UI for 10-foot that is touchscreen is complex, challenging, and at the same time rewarding. Our UI design approach not only accommodates the user, but also for the viewers at home. The host can move around the screen freely and not lose interactivity. For viewers at home, the compact information can be seen clearly, at the same time the user controls are somewhat hidden from viewers.

A portal for AT&T customers to visit their rewards center. AT&T Thanks offers a variety of goodies for their valued customers ranging from discounted tickets, deals on entertainment, and sports packages. Working with our amazing UX lead, I was responsible for the design and aesthetics for the portal, creating a visually pleasing experience for our customers.

Client is looking for a brand new conquest page where the visitors can learn about why Acura is the option over other brands.  The challenge is to create an experience that streamline the features of the Acura family, but at the same time feed in comparison data to educate users.  This came in as a pitch, which means short turnaround, and won!  The final product was a fully-integrated clickable prototype and the interactive experience was stunning on the web, as well as all responsive outlets.

Acura needed a brand new 2016 RDX campaign targeting the Asian American market in the U.S., and I was privileged with the chance to create a story from scratch, and art direct the piece.  Being Asian American myself, this has been a special project and I was blessed with an easy going crew to help me convey the message both artistically, and physically.  The spot was aired for 5 months across various Asian channels and received over 3 million views on youtube.

Cablecast is a little test project to bring TV browsing to a whole other level.  The interface shifts away from the traditional cable TV and provides a much more visually pleasing, yet easy to use interface for a faster browsing experience. 

Client: Microsoft Windows and Devices

Currently dedicating 100% of my time as the creative lead across all discipline.  As an exclusive digital partner, we are responsible for a seamless experience across everything digital.  Mainly focuses on Windows and Devices, which are two of the highest-traffic sites.  Leading/mentoring a team of multi-disciplinary talents and managing multiple projects fills my day-to-day, and am no stranger to constant client-facing, pitching, partnership with other agencies, as well as building effective presentations.  

Client: Microsoft HoloLens

HoloLens is not your typical consumer product, and does not confine in typical forms. HoloLens offers the most comfortable and immersive mixed reality experience available, with industry-leading solutions that deliver value in minutes. When the new HoloLens 2 was introduced, we were tasked with the landing page that would give the users a first hand experience that is immersive, yet educational.

Client: Newell Brands

Objective: Enterprise Web Build across 9 sites including Sharpie, Prismacolor, Papermate, Expo, Graco, Baby Jogger, Rubbermaid Commercial, and Rubbermaid Consumer.  

Tasked to design and develop full-scale web-builds within 9 months, and create a template that can be scalable across 140+ brands within Newell enterprise.  Leading all the creative efforts from concept, branding, ux/ui, styleguide, motion graphics, to development and maintenance.  The sites are still currently rolling out, but checkout BabyJogger!

The stadium needs giant video walls and jumbotrons installed for player stats, game recaps, social media, and many more.  We were tasked with designing the scoreboard as well as many other elements, and worked closely with the backend engineers to pull live feeds for the board.
